Dorothy Caroline Woodward, 91, of Woodstock, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Centegra Hospital in McHenry surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 23, 1924 in Oak Park to Francis and Elizabeth (Schlueter) Neumann. Dorothy married Robert R. Woodward on November 4, 1947 in Elmhurst. He tragically preceded her in death on July 7, 1972.

Dorothy enjoyed gardening, cooking, and she was an avid reader. She was a very proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Taking care of her family was the most important thing in the world to her. And those who knew her will reflect that she always lived life to the fullest.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Joyce Sedam) Woodward; her son in law, Glenn Crandall; her grandchildren, Jaime (Christopher) Ingeman, Kimberlin (Andrew) Reinhard, and Ryan Woodward; her great grandchildren, Elysa Ingeman, Joshua Ingeman, Rachel Ingeman, Brennan Reinhard, and Harrison Reinhard; her brother, William Neumann; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Robert R. Woodward; her daughter, Kathleen Crandall, and her siblings, Elizabeth Reed, John Neumann, and Francis Neumann.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 5-7pm at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock. Inurnment will be private at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.
