Heart Attack Fatal At 47 To LG&WD Lineman


Services for James E. Rowland of 2375 Lamar will be at 2 tomorrow afternoon at Reynolds Funeral Home in Holly Springs, Miss. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove near Myrtle, Miss.

Mr. Rowland, who was 47, died after a heart attack at his home at 4:30 p.m. yesterday.

He had been a lineman for Memphis Light, Gas & Water Divistion for 14 years. He was a Methodist and a Mason. He was born in Union County near Myrtle, Miss., and had lived in Memphis for 20 years.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Katie Mae Rowland of Memphis; a son, Charles Rowland of Mount Ephriam, N. J.; two daughters, Mrs. Fred H. Ballard and Mrs. Otis L. Lyons of Memphis; a brother, Earl Rowland of Aurora, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Graham of Myrtle, and Mrs. Lizzie Spencer of Memphis, and 10 grandchildren.
