Sherry was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Mena Arkansas. For many years she was employed in the restaurant business and was well known for her pies. She also volunteered with helping provide dinners at Christmas and Thanksgiving to the elderly, handicapped and shut-ins. She started the "Scott Co. Fund for the Handicapped" and received an award plaque for her community service from the Arkansas State Gov. at that time Bill Clinton
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard Hall and Myrtle (McKay) Jones, her husband Ben Eugene "Gene" Spencer, sisters Barbara Bonny and Brenda Blanton, brothers Marion Jones, Kenneth Jones, David Jones and Jerry Jones and grandson Justin Spencer.
She is survived by three daughters, one son, one son-in-law, one sister, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Waldron Arkansas. Interment will be at Kirk Cemetery.
