Zacariah Thomas "Zack" Goins, was born September 4, 1884, to George and Caroline (Dickey) Reeves Goins in Independence, Viirginia. He passed away at the age of 80. on Monday morning of December 16, 1963, in Galax, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Caroline Goins; son, Henry Goins; and baby girl Goins.
Zach is survived by his wife, Blanche Goins; five sons, Daniel Goins, Willie Lee Goins both of Galax, J.K. Goins of North Carolina, Thomas Zacariah Goins of New Jersey and Claude Goins of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; five daughters, Mary Catherine (Lewis) Phippe, Elsie Elizabeth (Robert) Brown. Ethel Janice (Robert) Mittman, Betty Sue Goins all of Galax, and Mary Catherine (William) Brown of Washington, D.C.
