Phyllis R Hunter, 77, West Stockholm, died Feb. 25, 2016 at the United Helpers Riverledge Nursing Home in Ogdensburg.
A memorial service with Pastor Brooke Newell celebrant.
Arrangements with the Garner Funeral Home.
Phyllis is survived by her son Jeffrey W Patty Hunter; sister Jean Kenny Tupper and granddaughters Jill Larry Rheaume and Jessica Hunter and Thomas Donnelly.
She was predeceased by husband, Harold Hunter and an infant son, James R Hunter.
Phyllis was born Sep. 7, 1938 in Plattsburg to James Rockwell and Dorothy Ballou.
She was a 1956 graduate of Potsdam Central School. June 7, 1957, she married Harold W Hunter at the Colton Methodist Church.
She worked at Clarkson College and Lawrence Ave. Elementary School in Potsdam, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of the OES, West Stockholm VFD Ladies Auxiliary and the West Stockholm United Methodist Church.
