Darla was born August 30, 1941 in Duluth, to Hilton and Ann Warner. She graduated from Central High School in 1959. She worked at Dove Clothing, JCPenney, and then Essentia Health until retiring in 2014.
She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, helping whenever needed. She loved volunteering and helping others through Grace and at community events from the John Beargrease Marathon, Bentleyville, the Duluth Kennel Club Dog Show, The Maritime Museum and many others. She put everyone else first, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren doing whatever she could to make their lives easier. She was an awesome mom & granny, she will be greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Bernadine Martilla and Beverly Hyde; and brother, Ronald Warner.
Darla is survived by her three children, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7PM, Monday, February 29, 2016 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, visitation will continue from 10AM until the start of the 11AM service Tuesday in the Grace Lutheran Church, 5454 Miller Trunk Hwy. Hermantown, MN 55811
