Eloise Edwards
Portsmouth - Eloise Edwards, 88, of the 1000 block of College Park Blvd., was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of John O. Edwards. Eloise was a retired Teacher Assistant from Portsmouth Public School System. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

Eloise leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Carolyn Whitehead, Elois Sexton and Melanie A. Ellis (Carlton); two sons, Roland Edwards (Gloria) and Richard Edwards (Joyce); eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 11 from 2 - 5 pm at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1248 N. George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, August 12 at Zion Baptist Church, 225 Hatton Street, Portsmouth with Dr. Kelvin E. Turner officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
