E. F. Nave
With the death of E. F. Nave at his home at Spring creek Monday, Broadwater county loses another pioneer who has helped to develop this territory into one of Montana's most productive sections.
At the time of his death, Mr. Nave was about 79 years old and had been a resident of this country since 1863. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having fought on the side of the Confederacy in several of the decisive engagements, and spent considerable time in Libby prison. He was twice married, five children born by his first wife who died many years ago. He married his second wife in 1894 and to this union five children were born, who beside his wife and two children by his first marriage are left to mourn his death.
Mr. Nave suffered a broken leg about a year ago and since that time his health has steadily failed until his death.
The funeral services were held at the ranch home on Spring creek, being conducted by Rev. Thomas of Three Forks. Internment was in the Radersburg cemetery besides the remains of his first wife.
