Joseph John Wade, “Joe”, 81, a resident of Jackson, LA, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. He was retired, after working for Georgia Pacific for over 20 years. He was a native of Aruba.
Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA, with a Masonic service.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly Brown Wade; two daughters, Dawn Wade Sarran and her husband Edmond Sarran of Harriman, TN; Ramona Wade Moriarty and her husband Joseph Moriarty of Fredericksburg, VA; one son, Joseph John “Jay” Wade, Jr. and his wife Joy Patrick Wade of Buford, GA;
two sisters, Evelyn Wade Richardson; Eleanor Wade Thomas and husband Glenn Thomas;
five grandchildren, Somer Lyn Holloway, Danielle Moriarty, Liam Moriarty, Joseph John Wade III, and Joshua McCray Wade; and great-granddaughter Naomi Zalia Koehn.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Center Wade, his father, Evelyn McCaleb Wade, and his mother, Margaret Dawson Wade.
He was a 50 year Mason. He had 23 years with the Eastern Star. He was a US Air Force Veteran, a wood craftsman, Scottish Rite. He enjoyed travel, water activities, electronics, reading and being a Paw-Paw. He was the Rainbow Dad Central Lodge in 2006.
He loved seeing the wonders of these beautiful United States and spent many happy years RVing with his wife, Beverly, their children, and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
