Carl Garmon
SPRINGFIELD — Carl R. Garmon of Springfield died Jan. 28 of age-related causes at age 86. Services will be held in Nebraska.
He was born Dec. 14, 1924, in Bloomfield, Iowa, to Henry and Ollie Henderson Garmon.
He served in the U.S. Army and, after his discharge in 1950, remained in the Army Reserves. He worked in the grocery business in Nebraska and the restaurant trade in Southern California, where he owned Gayle's Cafe and Catering.
Survivors include a sister, Christine of Bloomfield. His wife, Gayle, died in 1965. His life partner of 17 years, North Evans, died in 1997.
Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield.
