OBITUARY: Loren C. Ayres formerly of Tioga Center. Loren C. Ayres, 53, of 1831 5th Ave., Fort Worth, Tex., died June 7, 1995. He was born in Tioga Center, July 9, 1941, the son of Eugene and Aretha (Birdsill) Ayres. He was an employee of Ryan's Family Steak House in Fort Worth, Tex., and formerly a Binghamton Press carrier for many years. He was a graduate of the Tioga Central School class of 1960 and very active in church work. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Kenneth. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Anderson) Ayres of Fort Worth; one daughter, Lorena Ayres of Harpursville, NY; one son, Daryl of Fort Worth, Tex.; one sister, Sylvia Middaugh of Tioga Center, and one brother, Alfred (Sonny) Ayres of Tioga Center; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 3670 Waverly Rd. (Rt. 17C W, Owego), on Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Newkirk of the Tioga Center Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery. Friends may call at Richards Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Due to the hardship caused by Loren's passing, in lieu of flowers, donations to his family would be most gratefully appreciated.
