Barney "Bunny" Hawkins, Jr., a resident of rural Henryetta passed away Thursday, February 25th, 2016 in Okmulgee at the age of 83. He was born March 1, 1932 in Henryetta to Barney Hawkins, Sr. & Verna (Earnhart) Hawkins. He was a retired glassworker retiring from PPG Industries. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Henryetta. He is preceded in death by his parents, Barney Hawkins, Sr. and Verna (Earnhart) Hawkins, also by two sons, Barney Dale Hawkins and Jimmie Ray Hawkins. He is survived by two grandsons: Jason Hawkins & wife Tanna of Okmulgee; Joshua Hawkins of Maryland; Four great grandchildren, Drew Hawkins, Kylie Hawkins, Ashton Hawkins, & Natali Hawkins Four sisters, Mercedes Odom of McAlester; Sue Chisholm of Henryetta; Aundrea Jackson & husband Mickey of Fayetteville; Paula Crew of Ft. Smith; Mother of his children & friend, Betty Brown of Okmulgee; His nieces & nephews, Michael Odom, Rusty Odom, Tonya Price, Kim Wittman, Tony Jackson, Mark Jackson, Carla Smythe & Brian Kellehan; Also by great nieces & nephews & great-great nieces & nephews; Also by a host of friends and other relatives Viewing will be on Saturday, February 27 at Integrity Funeral Service from 5 - 8 pm and on Sunday from Noon until 8pm. Pallbearers will be,Jason Hawkins, Gary Smythe, Randy Price, Tommy Wittman, Shawn Gobin, Craig Gobin, Mark Jackson, & Josh Klimek. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Church of Christ in Henryetta. Interment will follow in Salt Creek Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
