Born on September 12, 1960, he is the son of Freida and Howard Ashcraft. Randy graduated from Sanger High School in 1979 and married Jayne Hackler Ashcraft, of Argyle on August 22, 1981. Randy worked alongside his father, Howard and brother, Robert, at their family business, North Texas Plastics since they opened it together in 1978.
Randy is survived by his wife Jayne Hackler Ashcraft of Sanger, daughter, Crystal and son-in-law, Terrence "Bo" Peoples of Sanger, and son Corey "Buford" Ashcraft and brother Robert Ashcraft both of Denton. He is the beloved "Gramps" to Liyah "Eskimo" and Tre' Peoples. Also left to cherish his memory are his loving in-laws Faye Hackler of Krum, Angela and Nathan Thomas of Denton, Debra & Tim Foster of Sanger, and Johnny Hackler of Krum, nephews and nieces, Michael and Melissa Foster, Amanda and Cody Coulter, Jacob Ashcraft, Kyle Ashcraft, J L Hackler, Lisa Hackler, and Rachel Hackler and great nieces and nephews, Finleigh, Corbitt, Madi, and Amauri. He is also survived by his hunting buddies, Donnie, Zachary and Jordan Foster and their families. He is preceded in death by grandparents Alfred Ashcraft and Opal (Spindle) Ashcraft of Sanger and Frank and Grace Philpott of Pocahontas, TN.
Randy deeply loved his family, his friends, deer hunting and the Texas Rangers.
