Rosemary Carolin Caldwell, 100, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a 1933 graduate of Most Holy Rosary. Rosemary was a secretary for DairyLea Cooperative, Inc. She enjoyed gardening, reading, birdwatching and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Padua Church. Rosemary was predeceased by her husband, Charles; sons, Gerald and John; brothers, Francis, Edward, and Anthony Carolin; and grandson, Joshua Spinelli. Surviving are her daughter, Christine (Boyce) Spinelli of Scotland, CT; son, Lawrence Caldwell of Geddes; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, February 29 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home and noon in St. Anthony Padua Church, 1515 Midland Ave., Syracuse where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Rosemary will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 917 Avery Ave., Syracuse, NY 13204.
