Corporal with 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, based in Shilo, Manitoba. Aged 30, of Winnipeg MN. Predeceased by his father Russ, he is survived by his mother Della and fiancé Fred Duna; sister Shannon and fiancé Preston Cole-McCaffrey; grandmother Eileen Johnson; aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dog Lokie.

He was one of four soldiers killed, and several injured, when a man travelling on a bicycle detonated his bomb near Canadian troops on foot patrol in the Panjwayi district, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. A number of civilians, including children, were also injured in the attack.

Before going to Afghanistan, Cpl Morley served two tours in Bosnia in 2001 and 2003. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking and fishing, as well as woodworking.

Cpl Morley's awards and decorations include NATO Medal for Former Yugoslavia (NATO-FY), Canadian Forces Decoration, Non-Article 5 NATO Medal for Operations in the Balkans, Canadian Peace Keeping Service Medal (CPMS), General Campaign Star – SOUTH-WEST ASIA (GCS-SWA), Sacrifice Medal (posthumous).

Funeral service with military honours was held in Winnipeg on September 29, 2006.

In November 2007, the Government of the Province of Manitoba announced that a lake in northwestern Manitoba has been named in his honour. Morley Lake is located 60 km north of Flin Flon.
