Mrs. Verdilla Viola Haines, widow of James E. Haines and mother of Jessie W. Gossard, died at her home, Darnestown, Md., Dec. 25.

She is survived by nine grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Jesse S. Myers, Greason, Pa.; Mrs. Abbie E. Hoover, Carlisle; George H Myers, RD5, Carlisle; George H. Meyers, Shippensburg; Miss Mary C. Myers, Mt. Holly Springs; Clifford D. Myers, RD5, Carlisle, and Mrs. Z. Elizabeth Beetem, Schuylkill Haven, Pa.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Gartner Funeral Home, Gaithersburg, Md. Burial was in the Darnestown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
