N. Curtis “Bud” Elswick, 79, of Harrodsburg, Kentucky formerly of Richmond, was received by his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, following a brief illness.
Bud was born on June 4, 1936 in Madison County, the son of the late Northa and Iva Greer Elswick. He was a retired plant supervisor for National Metal Processing. He was of the Baptist Faith and was attending the Burgin Baptist Church in Harrodsburg at the time of his death.
Survivors include his loving wife: Sue Broaddus Elswick; his beloved daughter: Kelley Elswick Becknell and her husband Doug Becknell; his grandson: Matthew McQuerry and his great-granddaughter: Harper Grace McQuerry; as well as two step-grandsons: Hunter and Hayden Becknell; he is also survived by six sisters: Wilma Davis, Jane Stephens (Dean) Edith Perkins, Linda Finley (Bill), Annie Brown (Dave) and Connie Jones (Tom); three brothers: Russell Elswick (Bickie), Donnie Elswick (Verna) and Kenneth Elswick (Carol); a sister-in-law: Liz Elswick as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, one sister: Jean Johns and two brothers: Tommy Elswick and Marion “Dee” Elswick.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Carl McCray officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after 11:00 AM Saturday morning at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Roger Perkins, Shannon Perkins, Marion Lane, Brad Elswick, Justin Lynch and Bobby Elswick.
His loving family will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
