Alma Charles "Brad" Bradford, age 93, passed away on September 20, 2006.

He was born on October 26, 1912, in Spanish Fork, Utah, the second of ten children born to Frank Hansen Bradford and Myrtle Hales. "Brad" married Ruth Shaw on September 3, 1938, in Ely, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 3, 1942. He attended schools in Spanish Fork and Pingree, Idaho as a youth. Brad was a n active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in numerous positions during his lifetime.

Until his death, he had the distinction of being the oldest surviving member of the first branch of the LDS Church in the Pomona Valley. Brad also had the distinction of being a direct descendant of 5 of the original Mayflower passengers.

Prior to his marriage to Ruth, Brad sold Hoover Vacuums through southern Utah and Nevada. After the birth of their first son, Philip, they moved to Pomona, CA in the early part of 1940 where he began working for Wright Bros. & Rice until they closed. He then continued working for Wilcox Furniture in Pomona.

While living in Pomona, Brad and Ruth had two additional sons, Stephen and William Blair. His interest in life was being with his children and grandchildren. He regaled in telling them about his life on the farm in Pingree while growing up, especially thinning sugar beets. Dad loved baseball and encouraged his sons to play it while growing up. He was always supportive of them. He loved listening to his two favorite teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers.

Preceding him in death was his wife, four brothers Max, Lamar, Floyd, Blair, a sister, Lenore and one grandchild, David.

Surviving Brad is his brother Dean of Renton, Washington, sisters, Grace Josephson of Pingree, Idaho, Dora Vogel of Pomona, and Sue Prothro of Oxnard, his three sons, and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
