Born December 15, 1922, in Lake City, Arkansas, he was an Army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. Mr. Wade was formerly a welder for Darling Store Fixtures and for Greene County, and was of the Methodist faith. He was a big bird and duck hunter and raised dogs to bird hunt.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Danny Hibbard of Walnut Ridge; two grandchildren, B.J. Hibbard and Logan Hibbard; and two great grandchildren, Drey Hibbard and Jadyn Hibbard, all of Walnut Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samual and Ruth Wade; his wife, Laverta Jo Cox Wade; one brother, Luther Wade; and two sisters, Annie Headley and Faye Sims.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould. A graveside service will be conducted 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 27th, at Woods Chapel Cemetery, Paragould, with Royce Boling officiating.
