Willie Peterson, Sr.

Willie C. "Boogie" Peterson, Sr. entered into the presence of the Lord Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Mrs. Willie Bell Peterson.
Willie was born in Ft. Gaines, Ga. on November 6, 1946 to Leroy Peterson and the late Gennie Mae (Bland) Peterson.
Willie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, luxury cars and watching cowboy movies, but the one thing he enjoyed was breakfast at Central Family Restaurant.
During his years of employment, he worked for York Transit Authority for 38 years as a Bus Driver.
In addition to his loving wife and father, Willie leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Willie C. Peterson, Jr., and Willie Stanley; two daughters, Deloris Rice and Lynn Webb; brothers, Leroy Peterson, Jr., David Peterson, Eugene Peterson; sisters Lula Hutchinson, Betty Hutchinson, Jinnie Williams, Wanda Peterson and Debra Smith; grandchildren, Isaiah Webb, Troy Rice, Jr., Robert Webb, Jr., Willie C. Peterson, III, Shaquill Peterson, Jabarri Brown and Amadi Wiesenford; great-grandchildren, Jes'myr Townson, Janylah Meghee, Jyzel Peterson and Achilles Guerrero; nieces, Tanisha Mitchell and Fe'lesha Peterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Willie was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, James Peterson.
A viewing is scheduled for Friday, February 26, 2016 at Boulding Mortuary Inc., 471 Madison Avenue, York, from 9 to 11 a.m. and a service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Adrian Boxley officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
