Connie was born December 8, 1923 in Talbert, CA (now Fountain Valley) to Jose and Josefina Becerra. She was the eldest of six siblings: Joe, Mary, Esperanza (deceased), Daniel (deceased) and Salvador (deceased).
Connie married her childhood friend, Ruben L. Alcala. They were married 67 years when Ruben passed away on January 24, 2010. They were lifetime members of The Fountain Valley Historical Society. They had one daughter. Connie is survived by her daughter, Lydia "Lillie" and son-in-law Carlos "Sonny"; two granddaughters, Garilyn (Michael, spouse) and Melissa; four great-grandchildren, Mikaela, Ruby, Carlie and Sonny.
Connie passed away peacefully at home (per her wishes) on February 17th surrounded by her loving family.
Viewing will be Friday, February 26th at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, 6 - 8 PM with Rosary at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 27th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 17270 Ward St., Fountain Valley.
