Robert "Andy" Andrews, Sr., 80, of Forbes Road, Perrysville, and formerly of Silvercrest Drive, Lexington, died Wednesday morning May 25, 2005 in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, following a short illness.

He was born May 21, 1925 in Cuyahoga Falls to Arthur Andrews, Sr. and Mary (Zimmerman) Andrews, and was graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School.

From High School he entered military service, serving with the U.S. Navy nearly three years aboard the USS Wichita…and looked forward to his annual reunions with shipmates.

Andy was an electrician, turned electrical supply representative, first with Summit Electric, and then with Furbay's Electric Supply. He retired in 1990 with 37 years of service.

For nearly forty years, Andy had been a member of First Alliance Church in Mansfield, where he served the Lord by serving the congregation 35 of those years in the control room as a sound technician. He remained active with church's KeenAgers, and served as club secretary.

Andy's pride and joy became his grandchildren, often sharing their photos, and regaling their stories to even telemarketers. Since his move to the country, he affectionately became known as "Egg Man" for delivering farm fresh brown eggs to his friends in Mansfield.

He is survived by his children and their spouses Bob G. Andrews of Dallas, Texas, Larry S. and Debbie Andrews of Deltona, Florida, Ken J. Andrews of Atlanta, Georgia and Melanie and Jeff Snow of Perrysville; eight grandchildren Jocelyn Andrews, Nikki Andrews, Nate and Jen Andrews, Ben Andrews, Abby Andrews, Emily Andrews, Zack Andrews, and Grant Snow; two great grandchildren Jacob Frettinger and Ashton Andrews; a sister and brother-in-law Betty and Chuck Miller of Port Charlotte, Florida; a sister-in-law Darlene Andrews of Kent; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia J. (Fowler) Andrews on July 10, 1991; a great grandson Preston Andrews; two sisters Joan Andrews and Phyllis Jean Andrews; and a brother Arthur Andrews, Jr.
