Travis Lawrence Cornell, 41, of Marathon, passed away at home on February 23, 2016 after a short illness. Travis is predeceased by his uncle, Bob and his grandparents. He is survived by his dad, Larry and stepmother , Nancy Cornell; mom Nancy Niver; sister and brother-in-law Tammy and Philip H. Niver Jr.; two nieces, Kimberly E. Cornell and Julia A. Greene; nephew, Dalton-James E. Greene and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Travis was proud to have served his country in the United States Marines. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, 12:00pm February 27, 2016 at Marathon Baptist Church, 5 East Main Street, Marathon, New York, 13803. Friends may call Saturday 10:00am to the time of the service at the Church. Burial will be in Marathon Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Travis’s name may be made to Cortland Memorial Foundation for Cancer Awareness and Treatment, 134 Homer Avenue, Cortland, New York, 13045.
