"Kimberly Anne Sims, age 38, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Kimberly was the mother of two sons, Harrison Michael and Hunter Price Sims. Her boys were, quite simply, her life. She looked at being mother to her sons as her calling and career.

"Kimberly graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, attended Abilene Christian University, and worked many years for her father, Dr. Paul Harris, in his Abilene office.

"Kimberly’s great sadness was the loss of her mother, Paula Harris, who died following an accident while riding horseback at her ranch in Abilene.

"Kimberly was living with her sons in Coleman at the time of her death. She had previously lived in Abilene and San Angelo. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was currently attending the First Baptist Church in Coleman.

"Kimberly is survived by her sons, Harrison Michael Sims, age 12, and Hunter Price Sims, age 11, both of Coleman; her father, Dr. Paul Harris of Irving; a grandmother, Mary Pittman of Irving; aunts and uncles, Jody and Larry Guthrie and Daryl and Cindy Boyle, all of Coleman; cousins, Glenn and Kim Guthrie of Midway, Utah, Tom and Debra Guthrie of Rogers, Arkansas, Matt and Jonna Boyle of Euless, and Justin and Shannon Whittington of North Richland Hills. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Boyle Harris of Abilene and grandparents, Jo Nell and Garvice Boyle of Coleman.

"Kim will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by her family and many friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Burkett Cemetery Pavilion with David Wallace officiating and assisted by Rev. John Stanislaw. Inurnment will follow in the Burkett Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

"Memorials may be made to the Youth Department of First Baptist Church, Coleman."
