Jennie Lee 'Ma Bryan' Robinson


Casper - Graveside services for Jennie Lee "Ma Bryan" Robinson, 81, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Highland Cemetery by the Rev. Ed Cingoranelli of the Casper Open Bible Church. She died May 15, 1998, at Wyoming Medical Center. She was born Aug. 8, 1916, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of John and Maude (Phillips) Watt. When she was two years old, she moved with her family to the United States. She went to school in Osceola, Mo.


In 1932, she came to Casper and married Irwin Bryan. After their wedding, they started a sheep ranch. They made their own bricks for construction of their homestead, which is still standing. She became an American Citizen in 1996.


She loved to camp, fish and rock hunt.


Survivors include her second husband, Buck Robinson; seven children of Casper; Freewater, Ore., and Fort Collins, Colo.; 35 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1969; a daughter, Mary Evey; and a son, James Chester Bryan.
