BIRTH: June 29, 1927, to Jake (Sr.) and Marie Kraus in St Croix Falls, Wis.

GRADUATE: Montrose High School, Montrose, Colorado.

MARRIAGE: Nov. 24, 1947, Harold L. George. Five children raised in Montrose.

RETIRED: City Market Grocery after seventeen years in the bakery department.

MEMBER: Emblem Club #91 and the Rebekah Lodge.

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES: Exhibits at Montrose County Fair in the fair booth set up by the Emblem Club. Bowling and playing cards ... pastimes with friend, Viola Penny. Cooking and home canning. Embroidery work and fabric painting. Going on picnics with family and friends.

PRECEDED IN DEATH by husband Harold, who passed on October 3, 2013. Also preceded in death by her parents and five sisters and two brothers: Bertha Hamill, Emily Abplanalp, Mary Schlauger, Lydia Morlang, Dollie Mays, Henry Kraus and Jake Kraus Jr.

AMONG SURVIVORS: Five children, Gayle George of Montrose, Saundra Coleman (Larry) of Council, Idaho, Pam George of Montrose, Jaelene Eyre of Cedaredge and Greg George (Shelia) of Casper, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Nikki Eyre, Drew Eyre and Tory Eyre, Cameron George, Calvin George (Cassie); and two great-grandchildren, Michael Eyre-Kerns and Ben Eyre.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 11 AM at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel, in Montrose.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Elks Lodge in Montrose following the service.
