Obituary for Mrs. McGee

Funeral services for Mrs. Hannie Gould McGee, 86, of Canton was held on Friday afternoon, April the 30th, at 4:00 o'clock in the Forest Ott & Lee Chapel with Rev. Bobby Thompson, Rev. Grady Smith, Rev. A.L. Finch and Rev. J. R. Blakney officiating. Interment followed in the Hopewell Cemetery in Scott County with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. McGee passed away in the Madison General Hospital in Canton on Thursday. She was a native of Scott County but had made her home in Canton for the past two years. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

The survivors are six daughters, Mrs. J.M. McCrory of Hattiesburg; Mrs. L.B Harvey of Durant; Mrs. V.T. Giordano of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Mrs. R.O. Wilson of Eden; Mrs. P.E. Jones of Canton, and Mrs. R.E. Kennedy of Vicksburg; two sons, Erdie E. McGee of Durant and Walter H. McGee of Metairie, La.; nineteen grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Willie H. Jones of Forest, and Miss Winnie Gould of Jackson; six brothers, Walter Gould of Memphis, J.B. and Bill Gould both of Jackson; Jack Gould of Quitman, Buck Gould of Atlanta, Ga.; and Arcia Gould of Lake; and number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers were the grandsons.
