She married John McDonald Reid on 16 Dec 1880 in Navarro County, Texas. They lived in Corsicana until 1902 when they moved to Tampico, Mexico to ranch and raise their family. All seven of their children were born in Navarro County before their move. Their son Roger died in 1902 shortly after the move. Their son Joe worked in Tampico for an American company until his death in 1960. He is buried on the hacienda "El Caracol" near Cruz, Tampaulipas, Mexico. The other children lived to adulthood and are buried in Texas.
