A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton for Linda Ann Kimball, 79, who passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at her residence in Lafayette.

Visitation will be observed on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm and resumes Friday, February 26, 2016 at 8:00 am until 10:00 am, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.

A rosary will be recited by Sister Carmalita, on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Milton.

Reverend Father Louis Richard, Pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Roman Catholic Church in Abbeville, will officiate.

Linda was born September 28, 1936 in Baton Rouge and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Linda was an outdoors enthusiast and enjoyed all sports including fishing and golf. She lived and loved life, always seeing things through rose colored glasses. Linda had a natural ability to draw people into her. She was the most sacrificing person, giving the shirt off of her back to all. She gladly took every one under her wing. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family and friends at “Kimball’s Funny Farm”.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Chester Frayer “Skip” Kimball, III; her children, Charles Kevin Kimball, his wife, Dava Dennis Kimball and their children, Collin Padraic Kimball and Colleen Elizabeth Kimball, Robert Craig Kimball, his wife, Donna Farmer and their children, Taylor Fenton Kimball and Chris Patrick Kimball, Cherri Ann Kimball, daughter-in-law, Stacy Lynn O’Connell, Kelly Shivaun Kimball Bertrand, her husband, Brian Keith Bertrand and Terry Renfroe Kimball, his wife, Adrienne Bucci Kimball and their children, Nicholas Connor Kimball and Ryan Thomas Kimball; her great grandchildren, Tripp Isaac Kimball and Tessa Aria Kimball, all of Lafayette and numerous dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Charles “Cherry” Renfroe and Gertrude Elwood Fenton Renfroe and her grandson, Bryce Nicklaus Bertrand.

Pallbearers and Honorary Bearers will be family members.
