JEANETTE ESTELL CAMPBELL PHILLIPS Aug. 9, 1963-Feb. 19, 2019 Ms. Jeanette Estell Campbell Phillips was born on August 9, 1963, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Mr. Richard Michael and Mrs. Estell Lavene Campbell. After a short but hard fight with cancer, she passed away with her family by her side at the age of 52 at EAMC and walked through heaven's gates on Friday, February 19, 2016. Ms. Phillips is survived by her three children: Jamie (Justin) Foster, David Phillips and Jena (Brandon) Davis; two grandchildren, Carson Foster and Campbell Davis; sister, Joanne (Mark) Posey; niece Jennifer Dant; and nephew Jeremy Grove. She also leaves behind several other loved ones. Ms. Jeanette Phillips is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Richard Michael Campbell. At the age of 18, Ms. Jeanette Phillips moved to the Auburn-Opelika area where she has resided since. She devoted her entire life to her three children who she loved dearly. She began her career at Beauregard High School in 1991 where she served as the Child Nutrition Program Manager. She was a very active member of the Beauregard community and devoted much of her time to children by teaching dance classes, chaperoning school functions, directing beauty pageants, as well as, devoting countless hours to extra-curricular activities for her three children. Ms. Jeanette Phillips was known for her beautiful smile, generous touch and soft heart and was known as a second mom to many in the community and was loved by all. She never met a stranger and was sure to tell you how much she loved you every time she saw you. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and currently served as the Treasurer for Alabama Education Association, ESP, District 19 for more than 10 years. Visitation will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. CST. Funeral services will be held at Providence Baptist Church in Opelika, Alabama, on Thursday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m., CST. Burial will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
