On July 2, 2015 One of God’s beloved children departed this earth to enter her new home in glory. Andrea Lynn Jones-Mitchell born in Houston, TX and was a resident of Ingleside, TX. She was born on September 30, 1984 to the union of Norris A. Jones, Sr. of Rockport, TX and Loretta O’Connell-Jones of Refugio, TX.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Sutton. She attended Refugio ISD and later Rockport ISD. She married Kenneth Mitchell. She and her Companion, Monroe Williams had a son, Damarion Williams and she later adopted his daughter, Montria Williams. She lived a full and inspirational life, touching the hearts of everyone she met; she had a good spirit, bringing joy and love to both family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Alice Jones; Uncles, Rev. David Jones, Clarence Jones, Alfred Jones, James Oscar Jones, Henry Lee Jones and Dennis L. Brown.
She is survived by her parents Norris Andre Jones, Sr. and Loretta O’Connell-Jones; her son, Damarion Williams; daughter, Montria Williams; brothers, Albert Roy, Winston James O’Connell and Norris Andre Jones, Jr.; grandfather, Ezekiel Jones; step-grandmother, Betty A. Jones; aunts, Hortense (Paris) Huff, Sally T. Jones, Elma Brown, Ora Lee Jones; uncles, Michael O. (Phil) Jones, Alton Jones; step mother, Mary Jones; step brothers, Adrian Matthews, Larry Ellison, Charles Matthews. She also leaves to cherish her memories and her beautiful smile, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held from 9a.m.-9p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Aransas Pass. Funeral Service will be at 10a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Refugio, TX at 1p.m. at Refugio Community Cemetery.
