Dean Gaffin, age 79 of Peebles, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
He was born in Peebles on Aug. 21, 1936, the son of the late Elmer and Mary (Caplinger) Gaffin .
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nellie (Compton) Gaffin in 1999, three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Deana and Russ Grooms of West Union; two step-grandchildren; and very special friend Thelma Rose of Hillsboro.
Visitation has been scheduled for Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., also at the funeral home with Tim Carter officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Fork Cemetery.
