Visitation times are: 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will greet friends. A public vigil service will be held at 7 P.M. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Mildred Irene Kunch was born on November 11, 1921 in Tracy, Iowa, the daughter of Jess and Fern Benscoter Degeest. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from the Tracy High School. She moved from Oskaloosa to Marshalltown in 1960. On September 3, 1980, she was united in marriage to Louis Jospeph Kunch in LasVegas. She was employed as a light assembly person with Marshalltown Instruments and retired in 1983. Mildred is survived by her husband: Louis Kunch of Marshalltown; two daughters: Sherry Shuminsky of Ocean Springs, MS. and Diana (Bob) England of Marshalltown; son: Dennis (Joan) Liebus of Oskaloosa; three step-daughters: Stephanie (Jim) Taylor of Bentonville, AR, Susan (Roger) Bacon of Toledo, and Sandra (David) Rask of LasVegas, NV; step-son: Stacy (Diane) Kunch of Toledo; seven grandchildren, twenty-step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and twenty-one step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers:Raymond and Bob Degeest .
