Willowemoc, Jan 6 - Mrs. Sophrone Decker, wife of Austin W. Decker, died at her home at this place, December 27, of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Decker had been in poor health for the past year, but was able to be about until about two weeks previous to her death, when she was forced to take to her bed, and although rallying several times she grew gradually weaker and passed quietly away about 2 p.m.
Deceased, whose maiden name was Miss Sophrone Dice, was born 32 years ago at Halls Mills, N.Y. She was united in marriage to Austin W. Decker 35 years ago, and was the mother of 14 children, 6 of whom have preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, and eight children: Willis, Jennie, Harvey, Alfred, Lena and Sarah at home; Charles, of this place, and Frank, at Grahamsville.
She was a true and faithful wife, always to be found about her duties, and a kind and loving mother.
