Benjamin Franklin, Son of Benjamin and Sarah Holvey, was born in Wadsworth, Ohio, 8-17-1898, and spent his boyhood days in his native birthplace. For many months he has been a sufferer from nervous trouble but few seemed to realize the seriousness of his condition. He was apparently in as good health as usual when he retired on Wednesday evening. On Thursday morning, Jan. 18, 1917, he was found cold in death when his mother tried to arouse him, the grim reaper having been a visitor several hours earlier. His age was 18 yrs, 5 months and 1 day. Mr. Holvey was a member of the Christian Church and Sunday School and always took an active interest in the latter. He is survived by his parents, one brother, and six sisters. Funeral services were held at his late residence on Saturday afternoon at 2:00, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Foster and the remains were laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery. Those from out of town who were in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Red Broadsword and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Robbins and son, Mr. and Mrs. James Robbins, and Mr. and Mrs. Will Robbins. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Derr of Cuyahoga Falls, Mrs. Ray Sherbondy, and Mrs. Leo Carey and daughter of Akron. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barnett and son, Mr. and Mrs George Robbins and family, and Mrs. P. Davies and daughter of Barberton. Card of Thanks: We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all the friends and neighbors who assisted us at the funeral of our son and brother. Also the minister, the singers, to those who furnished autos and those who gave floral offerings. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Holvey.
