Swedish-American singer. She was a folk singer and producer of folk-cultural entertainment. She was a daughter of famous industrialist Stefan Anderson and was also called Bibbi in Swedish and Beebee in English. Her presentations of Nordic songs and folklore on public service WTTY and commercial WGN television in Chicago in the 1950s and early 1960s made hers a well-known face in Chicagoland. Her ten TV-appearances and large host of other shows based on her native folklore, such as participation the Swedish Days parades every June, were her own productions. She used local school children in her dance groups and was known to cooperate with Danish-Americans and Norwegian-Americans in this work, which was considered ground-breaking. She put in a lot of work as a homemaker also, and with representational duties in her husband C. Erik Riddderstedt's businesses. She also ran her own gift shop "Scandinavia in Batavia" in that Fox River Valley town west of Chicago in the 1950s, and she composed several songs of her own. Of them, "I Love Christmas Time" was recorded in Sweden in 1990 with two noted artists and the rest were recorded for YouTube by Swenglistic Underground in Stockholm from 2011 to 2019. The sheet music was published in 2018 in a special chapter of the book Poetry and Song Lyrics by Lars Jacob (ISBN 9789163914805). She returned to Sweden with her family in 1962, but was also seen with her entertainment in western Florida in the 1970s.
