Donna A. James, 53, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

She was born Oct. 29, 1962, to Marcus and Gertrude Wilson, in Trinidad and Tobago.

Survivors include her husband, of 19 years, Lubert; her daughter, Jennifer Wilson; her son, Malik Shippley, both of Port Charlotte; two sisters, Linda Wilson and Hazel Wilson, both of Port Charlotte; two brothers, Bernard Wilson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and George Wilson of Trinidad and Tobago; and her best friends, Suzie, Vanessa, Pauline and Naomi.
