Born Dec. 26, 1904, in rural Cambridge to Fred and Elsa Anderson Johnson, she married Clarence Houghton on Feb. 16, 1927, in Galesburg. He died Sept. 17, 1977. She later married Henry Price on May 10, 1980, in LaFayette. He died Oct. 17, 1989.
One son, Robert Houghton, and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Shirley J. Coon of Morton; one brother, John Johnson of Peoria; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was a graduate of Moler College of Beauty in Chicago.
She was a retail clerk at various stores in the Galesburg area for many years. She also was a supervisor at Wataga School cafeteria for many years.
She was a volunteer at Galesburg Research Hospital.
She was a member of Bishop Hill Methodist Church in Bishop Hill. She also was a member of Galesburg Moose Lodge Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star and Women's Relief Corps, all in Galesburg.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. The Rev. Karen Martin will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery in Woodhull.
