The family wrote the following tribute to Loretta:

Loretta J. Cummings, 65, of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania passed away at home on May 12, 2010. Loretta was born on July 3, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Vera and Peter Bochonok. Loretta was the second of four children.

Loretta was a good student at Abington High School. In the early 1960's, Loretta danced on American Band Stand, was named Miss Abington and was a semi-finalist in the Sunday Bulletin Magazine search for its 1962 Cover Girl.

Loretta later married and raised four children in Buckingham, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed taking her children to her family's childhood vacation home in Cape May, New Jersey. While there, she and her children would go fishing, crabbing and go to the beach. For over twenty years, Loretta was a home health care giver for the elderly. Loretta enjoyed painting, gathering and negotiating for antiques and had a knack for decorating. She was also an excellent cook and baker.

Loretta will be missed by her family and friends. While known for her beauty, she was a strong, independent and feisty woman with a wry sense of humor.
