Robert E. Lance, 84, of Bowling Green passed away May 6, 2013.

Robert was born in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Roger and Birdie (Milnor) Lance. He married Rose Malone on May 17, 1956 in Bowling Green and she survives in Bowling Green.

Also surviving are his three daughters: Cynthia (Mike) Wenig of Cygnet, Robin (David) Wenner of Columbus and Joy Lance of Tiffin, Ohio; a son: Robert (Cheryl) Lance of Bowling Green; a sister: Louise Kidd of North Carolina; a brother: Richard Lance of West Virginia; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman, and a great-grandchild, Elijah Wenig.

Robert proudly served his country for 37 years in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He began his career active duty Air Force from 1951-1954. He continued his service in the Air Force Reserve for eight years and finished his extensive service as a full time member of the Ohio Air National Guard 180th Fighter Wing.

Robert was a member of the Victory Fellowship Chapel in Cygnet and was very family oriented. He was affectionately known as "pancake grandpa."

Robert's Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel of the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Wood County Memory Gardens.
