Mildred Olson, 77, of Forest City, died Tuesday (June 23,
1987) at a Mason City hospital. Funeral services will be 10 this morning at Petersen Funeral Home, Forest City, with the Rev. Norbert Jolivette officiating. Burial will be in Winnebago Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lake Mills. Visitation will be prior to the time of service at the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 21, 1909, in Forest City to Frank C. and Julia (Levison) Adams.
She attended a rural school near her home.
She married Albert N. Olson on June 19, 1927.
They couple farmed in the For­est City area. Mr. Olson died Feb. 21, 1966, and Mrs. Olson moved to Forest City. In 1985, she moved into the Good Samaritan Center.
Mrs. Olson was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She made many afghans and sweaters for family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Janice Taylor, Hayward, Wis.; two sons, Marlin "Whitey" and Ordean, both of Forest City; 11 grandchildren; five great­ grandchildren; a sister, Rose Remakel, Las Vegas , Nev.; two brothers, Francis Adams and Virgil Adams, both of Albert Lea, Minn., and many nieces and neph­ews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, a son and two brothers.
