Amy Frye Gardner, 93, of Mooresville, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Carillon Assisted Living of Harrisburg. She was born in Iredell County on September 19, 1922 to the late Joe W. Frye and Lockie Coggins Frye. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Theodore Gardner, Sr. and three sisters and 7 brothers. Mrs. Gardner is survived by her sons, Frank T. Gardner, Jr. & wife, Sandra of Katy, Texas and Larry D. Gardner & wife, Martha of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Roger Gardner, Christopher Gardner, Kari Lindley, Angela Mills & Ted Gardner, III; great grandchildren, Michael Gardner, Philip Gardner, Zachary Ford, Caitlyn Gardner, Karigan Ford, Micah Mills, John Benford, Luke Lorenz and Kate Elizabeth Gardner.
Services for Mrs. Gardner will be held on Thursday, October 29, at 3:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles W. McHargue officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park.
Memorials may be to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
