Oliver Waldron, was married in 1806 in Bryan County, Ga. to Miss Ann Sylvester , daughter of Asbury & Martha Sylvester..

The earliest known resident was in 1820 Bryan County; he and his brother David Waldron, moved to Ware County, (cut out of Appling County) soon after Ware was formed out of Appling .
Oliver made his home about two miles northeast from where Blackshear now is..

About 1845 he moved his family to Columbia County, Fla.
then to Marion County in 1853 , his home was at Suwannee Shoals, Florida ,
Ann lived with her son Jesse after Oliver passed and died a few years later; both are buried in Marion County, Fla. ….(this information is from Huxford's book)
" Census " June 27, 1870 in Manatee County, Manatee, Florida (put on records September 1870)
States that Annie was living with David and Mary Waldron …

Oliver served as Justice of Peace, 584th District of Ware County (1831-1833) and
as Justice of Ware Inferior Court (1837-1841)..

He served in the War of 1812 and the Indian War... He enlisted January 18, 1815 in Bryan County ; as a Private under Capt. James Bird in Colonel Mann's Regiment Georgia Militia and served until March 2, 1815 when he was honorably discharged..

He also served as a Private under Capt. James A. Sweat's Company of Ware County Militia on June 9th to August 19, 1838 in the Indian War ..
Ann was granted a widow's pension for his services ...
