Conrad Sille
Conrad Sille died at the Woodland Nursing Home, Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday October 18, 1947. He was 68 years of age. He had been ill for a number of years.
His father was William Sille and his mother was Jennie Visser. Mr. Sille was born at Otley, Iowa on June 23, 1879. He has always lived around Otley and Monroe. On February 28, 1903 at Albia, Iowa he married Laura Nevada Shields.
Those who preceded him in death were Mrs. Edna Fraizer Sille in 1922 and his parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Survivors are the widow and three sons, Doyle of Prairie City, Dale of Oskaloosa, and Donald of San Diego, California. He also leaves two brothers, Dirk of Monroe, John of Otley and on sister Mrs. Otto Adement of Albia, Ia., and four grandchildren. Mr. Sille was a ????er by trade.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 22, 1987 at 10:00 a.m. from the Co-operative Home for Funerals. The Reverend ???? of Des Moines, Iowa officiated. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery.

Correction the next week: In the obituary of Conrad Sille in the issue of October 23rd were two errors, both of which crept into his life story unnoticed. The statement was made that he married Laura Nivada Shields in 1903. This was not right. He married Edna May Frazier in 1912. And the date of his passing was given as Oct. 22, 1987. The year is 1947. Both errors were wholly unintional and we are glad to make correction
