She was born on March 12, 1933 in Huntersville, to the late Preston and Lucy Fish Bumgarner. Mrs. Stutts was a health care giver and attended Cornelius Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Nelson Stutts, Sr.; son, Rayvon Pierce; brother, Perry Bumgarner; and sisters, Wanda Richardson, Lentie Campbell, and Ida Knox.
Mrs. Stutts is survived by her children, Shelly Reid (Jimmy), Turner “Sonny” Stutts, Jr. (Gail), Darren Stutts, Pamela Pierce Brotherton; sisters, Donna Hunt, Patsy Smith; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, January 31 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 PM at the funeral home.
