Cecil H. Cole, retired Edwall, Wash., farmer and resident of Spokane for the last 12 years, died here today after a brief illness.
Born in Guelph, Ont., Mr. Cole came to Spokane in 1900, working for the Cole Printing Company until 1917, when he moved to Edwall. He farmed there until his retirement in 1945. Mr. Cole would have been 71 years old Monday.
He was a member of the Spokane Rotary Club, El Katif Shrine, Masonic Lodge 146 at Reardan, the Spokane Club, Waukon Grange, the Transportation Club and the Early Birds Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie, at the home, W707 Fifth; a son, Jack C. Cole of Edwall, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Hazen & Jaeger's with the Rose Croix assisting. Entombment will be in Riverside Mausoleum.
