Mr. James Alvin Heaton, age 86, of Thomaston, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Heaton was born on January 26, 1930 in Thomaston to the late Mertie Mae and Leroy Heaton. He was a parts delivery man for O'Riley Auto Parts, veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Evie Heaton; daughters, Donna Kendrick of Grayson GA, and Angela (Al) Howell of Thomaston; son, Terry Heaton of Thomaston; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Heaton, Rufus Heaton, and Ralph Heaton.
Funeral services for Mr. Heaton will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church, 496 Jugtown Rd. Meansville GA 30256.
