Debra "Debbie" Ann Burns, 61, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at the home of her best friend Andra Ralenkotter. She was born July 25, 1954, in Webster, S.D., to Robert and Arlene Burns, and shortly after moved to Southern California. Debbie graduated at Edison High, Huntington Beach, in 1972. She became a meat wrapper, then transferred to Las Vegas, in 1978, where she lived and retired. Debbie loved the outdoors, traveling, and the ocean. She loved music of all kinds, starting playing piano at age 5, then got into guitar. Debbie loved singing, her favorite music being Motown from 50's to 60's. She never got into the entertainment field, her work as a meat wrapper took that away. Debbie put a lot of effort into her job and retired at the age of 55. A year later she discovered she had colorectal cancer, and had struggled with it since. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Karen Marie Burns, of Jay, Okla.; aunt, Petrice Piper; cousin, Petrice Emmons, her husband, Roger and daughter, Lauren; and uncle, Gene Burns, all of Las Vegas
