Raymond proudly served in the United States Army from March 29, 1955 until his retirement on July 31, 1977 with 22 years of dedicated service. He was stationed in several locations including Louisiana, Okinawa, Germany, Vietnam and Oklahoma. Raymond and Peggy ultimately settled in Lawton in 1975 with their daughter and son. Raymond was a devoted father, husband, and prankster pappaw. He was a faithful servant to the Lord through his active service as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church.
