Mrs Hazel Irene Holder Gibson, 74, of Aberdeen, NC. died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Gibson, born in Moore County, was the daughter of the late Hardin Frank Holder and Cassie Leona Doby Holder. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Childress and Dorothy Everhart and four brothers, Jack, Manuel, Junior, and Bobby Holder.
She is survived by three sons, Melvin Olen Ross of Aberdeen, NC; Michael Evert Ross of Cameron, NC; and Gerald Wayne Gibson of Raeford, NC; a daughter, Sharon Maines of Aberdeen, NC; three sisters, Ruby Edwards of Vass, NC; Carolyn Smith of New Paris, Ohio, and Shirley Holder of Carthage, NC; six grandchildren, Steven Alex Gibson, Joshua Matthew Gibson, Daphne Nicole Gibson, Robbie Dean Leviner, Jr., Lisa Nicole Ross, and Kellie Danielle Ross and five great grandchildren.
The family received friends one hour prior services at the church.
The funeral services were held at 3pm, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 2237 Camp Easter Road, Southern Pines, NC. with the Rev Gregg Newton and Pastor Troy Wiley officiating.
Burial was made in the Church Cemetery.
The family entrusted the care of Mrs. Gibson to the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home, Sanford.
